Kangerlussuaq is one of the only places in Greenland where you can drive to the ice sheet in my off-road car, a Toyota Land Cruiser, which can handle the wild terrain.
But instead of walking on it, you’ll sleep against the high ice wall, the bastion that separates ice from tundra.

When we arrive, depending on the route, we will either have to walk a few hundred meters or 1.5 km, where we will set up camp to the sound of the rushing river and the calving of the glacier. And where I will leave you until the next day, unless otherwise agreed.

Note: Keep a safe distance from both the meltwater river and the ice colossi, which can collapse without warning. It’s important to always remember that ice is an elastic material in constant motion. So you can still experience and enjoy it, but from a safe distance.
