Join us on an exciting hike up to Sugarloaf Mountain. From here you will of course be able to enjoy the wonderful views. We will drive about 7 km by car until we reach about halfway up the mountain, and then we will walk the rest of the way up the mountain.

On the tour to Sugarloaf, you will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating Arctic nature in the area around Kangerlussuaq. On the hike, we move through the first stretch of the sandfly valley. There will be plenty of opportunities to look out for the area’s unique wildlife. If you’re lucky, you might see animals such as Arctic hares, polar foxes and reindeer, and maybe even a musk ox.

Along the way to Sugarloaf, the experienced guide will tell you a lot about the nature and history of the area. The culmination of this hike is of course when we reach the top of Sugarloaf. Here you can enjoy a 360 degree panoramic view of the valleys with the great rivers of meltwater from the ice sheet and the beautiful Arctic tundra seen from above.
